Tailored to fashion-forward, eco-conscious travellers, this new rental programme offers you as a Kimpton guest access to a curated selection of our most popular Strathberry bags, complimentary to borrow during your stay as you explore the best of Scotland (and the home of Strathberry!).
This exclusive Strathberry bag library is part of Kimpton’s signature ‘Forgot it? We’ve got it!’ campaign, which allows guests to travel lighter and more stylishly. Enjoy fashion, function, and thoughtful luxury in one beautifully crafted experience, whilst getting to style your favourite Strathberry bags.
The Borrow Bag Library is a complimentary handbag rental experience created through a unique partnership between Kimpton Hotels and Strathberry. Guests staying at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel in Edinburgh or the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow can borrow a luxury Strathberry handbag to use during their stay, free of charge. This exclusive service launches on 13th June 2025.

There’s absolutely no cost to borrow a Strathberry bag. The Borrow Bag Library is a complimentary offering exclusively for guests staying at the two participating Kimpton hotels.
Yes! If you fall in love with your borrowed bag, you’re invited to visit one of Strathberry’s Edinburgh boutiques to purchase it, or you can purchase via Strathberry.com globally. You’ll also receive a complimentary card for bespoke monogramming in-store, allowing you to personalise your new bag and turn it into a lasting keepsake, taking home a piece of Scotland.

No reservation is required, but availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a specific style or colour in mind, we recommend requesting it soon after you check-in. You can also request a bag in advance of your stay by emailing Kimpton’s concierge – but it is subject to availability.
